CIVILIAN TRAINING PROGRAMS

National Academy of Public Safety (NAPS) is an organization
dedicated to providing quality training to law enforcement, security
professionals, armored transportation officers, correctional officers,
and the general public. In an effort to extend the availability of
quality training we developed our courses in convenient and affordable
program formats.
National Academy of Public Safety civilian programs were developed by
our law enforcement and civilian course program director Bill Jeans.
Many of you know of Mr. Jeans prior 17 year relationship as the
Operations Manager of "GUNSITE"
As a corporate director for NAPS we felt that his experience and his
commitment to training will benefit the general public as well as law
enforcement/security venues.
All of NAPS trainers carry equal credentials and dedication to
training. NAPS trainers have completed instructor development programs
presented by the NRA Law Enforcement Training Division, GLOCK
Industries, Gunsite, Thunder Ranch, Simunitions, Monadnock and other
professional training institutions to numerous to mention. These
training institutions have been the leaders in instructor development.
Mr. Jeans and our Security Firearms Coordinator Ken Zachary have been
guest trainers and presenters at many of these development schools.
NAPS is registered as a Private Post Secondary school and carries
certifications from the Bureau of Consumer Affairs Security and
Investigative Services licensing unit. NAPS is a member or the National
Rifle Association and American Society
for Law Enforcement Trainers.
At NAPS we create learning a partnership where the students input is an important part of the training process. "NO TRAIN, NO GAIN"
